Casa Hogar Elim

As we are coming to a close on the legal aspects of See the Need, our focus has now turned to our first vision trip. A small group of approximately 8-10 people will be leaving Birmingham on January 25 to travel to a small town called Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. This town is home to a very large orphanage called Casa Hogar Elim. If you would like to know more about this orphanage click http://casahogarelimus.org. This trip will give our team the opportunity to set our eyes on the needs of this orphanage, the children that live within its walls, and the community that they all call home. Several members of the See the Need team have had the privilege to serve at this particular orphanage before, but for most of us this will be our first visit. We are so excited about this trip and the doors that God is opening for this ministry. One major thing that we would like to do for this orphanage is provide Mama Lupita and all the children with as many of the needed "day to day" supplies as possible. If you are interested in helping us with this goal, we have provided a list of items that the orphanage needs on a daily basis (these items can also be found on the orphanage's website). We would appreciate any donations made and we will present the orphanage with these items during our vision trip in January.
